Savings! ~ $30/Year
Walmart:
- Foaming Hand Soap (8oz) - $2.00
- Foaming Hand Soap Refill Bottle (32oz)- 3.97
Note: Don't be fooled into buying the soap bottles with the "Foaming" Hand Soap Label, they are just the regular Soap bottles that are watered down to create a solution that would foam more easily than the thicker, regular, liquid soap bottles.
This Soap Recipe:
- Foaming Hand Soap (8oz) - $2.00
- Regular Refill Soap Bottle (32oz)- 3.47
Savings Notes: One "Refill Bottle" lasts me about a month, for just one person- which means I use about 8oz a week. So if I only use 1/5 of the soap, and create a soap solution with water, I would use about 1.6 oz a week, instead of 8. Which means I would only need to buy 3 refill containers a year, instead of 12. This saves me about $30 a year. And if there were a family of 3 other clowns living in my apartment, it would save me a lot more too.
Ingredients:
- An old Foaming Hand Soap Bottle
So Why Does it have to be a Foaming Bottle? -The secret behind making foaming soap is the cap of the bottle that's attached to the top of the soap container. This helps because its leaves a little space for air, and when you bush down on the nozzle, it adds pressure. And once the pressure reacts to the soap and water, it creates millions of tiny little bubbles that we call foam!
- Water
- Soap
Note: This is also a good way to use up any body wash that you're tired of using, or from a refill container that has your favorite scent.Steps:
1. Fill your empty Foaming Soap Bottle with 1/5 of the soap you want to use
2. Fill the remaining 4/5 of the Soap Bottle with Water
3. Shake a little and enjoy!
